The Global Impact subcommittee is dedicated to organizing our annual Service Learning Trips (SLT) to Latin America and Africa, where students have the opportunity to engage in meaningful and hands-on volunteering. Past trips have taken us to Ecuador and Peru, where we’ve worked alongside local communities to improve access to healthcare, education, and safe housing.

During the SLT, students join a mobile clinic in collaboration with other MEDLIFE chapters, assisting local healthcare workers and learning firsthand about various global health challenges. Throughout the academic year, the subcommittee also organizes fundraisers to support the trip and MEDLIFE’s initiatives.
