Approximately 530 000 people in Lima, Peru do not have access to electricity. Most of the electricity that runs in the community of Union Santa Fe is not obtained legally. Electricity is provided from a single party, who can control the community’s access at anytime. When the electricity is cut, community members have to resort to borrowing electricity from other homes. Families have to pay $16 to power one lightbulb at times. Together we can work together to fundraise to provide safe and reliable electricity to the 350 community members in the Union Santa Fe Community.
